Hey I've been looking into getting an MXR Blue Box, and I would like to give it the c11 spin. Though recently, I've heard that this mod might ruin new Blue Boxes since they may have a different designed board. Is this true? Or is it fine for me to mod a new Blue Box
Thanks!

Just unsolder one leg of the C11 and see if it does the trick. If not, you can easily solder that single leg back on.

No harm no foul.

Though for a direct answer one of the pedal mod sites would probably give you a quicker and more concise answer.

What with there being about 5 million fuzz pedals on the market I'm not sure I understand the desire to buy a new pedal with the intention of immediately modding it.

Well if you knew anything about the specific pedal or mod, you would understand that clipping the C11 makes the fuzz and octave madness range more useful and controls the wildness of what the Blue Box does, which nothing else, pedal wise, really quit does. Not in the same 2 knob fashion.

So that's the reason. Not as if one needs to justify the dwsire or want to mod their own pedal.
