Cab advice needed: marshall 1960a or 1960ax

A local deal has come up, can get a 1960a that is in great shape, 3 years old and has been stored for 2 years. has 4 g12t75 speakers. 250 bucks

Or, for 500, I can get an older 1960ax w/ 4 greenbacks. worn gray grill cloth. What's the better deal, and is there gonna be an appreciable difference in sound, or will they sound pretty similar?

Your amp, and music style will dictate. I, would go for the AX. I would probably get both and try to get a package price. 250 for a 4x12 is cheap, regardless of the make. you can then swap speakers.
