I wish to purchase a cab for a Germino club 40. Has anyone played the marshall style cab that Heritage constructs?
Can you suggest me of a suitable cab for this amp?

How's about a Germino cab? Gregs cabs sound and look perfect for his amps and they are very reasonably priced IMO.

Go with Germino - you can even get an open/closed switching 2x12, which would be ideal for that C40...

I've got nothing but high praise for Jeff Swanson's work. He offers great Marshall style cabinets in his stock lineup, but I had him do a Vox AC30 style 2x12 extension cab for me w/ an oval cutout in the back. Best sounding 2x12 cabinet I've ever played through...perfect match for the tubbies.

    Anyhow, I believe Jeff's site is: http://www.swansoncabinets.com

    Thanks for your replies.
Someone told me that Germino's cabs are constructed by MOJO. Is that true?

Gregs cabs are great! They are not made by mojo, he has an independent maker constucting them to his specs.

i had Heritage (Peter Mather in their cab shop) build a custom 2x12 in Marshall 4x12 slant front style, unfinished and unloaded. am now awaiting a Celestion Gold, then i'll decide the finish for it. meanwhile here's a look at it:

Hmm, what does that cab look thin to me? Not as thick as even the Heritage head shell?? Illusion? Pine or Ply?

illusion, i reckon. it's very much in the classic Marshall tradition, but for the dimensions and maybe those outstanding joints (through-dovetail), which i'd hate to cover up...9-ply Baltic Brich. here's a pic from their website:

That cab's fine, they just didn't use the 'faschia' that Marshall uses to give it that burly look.

Go to Avatar and get one of their Bluesbreaker 2x12's. It would go awesome with it. :AOK

+1 on the Germino cabinet. Greg used Mojotone up until about one year ago, now, as stated above, they are being made to his specifications by an independent cabinet maker...this is straight from the horse's mouth.

it's odd i don't see anything like that on their website, but they do it for the Brit II cabs: (here's a pic of my first Brit II rig) and Peter & crew do all kindsa custom stuff (hmmm, looks like they do work for Carr amps, too, by look of one of their pix...)

(btw, i use Avatar for bass & loved the two Germinos (one combo, one 4x12 IIRC), too, that i heard)

Call me superficial but I always like the colour and logo of cabs and heads to match.
