    Hey all,

New to wiring cabs, and want to throw in a couple different speakers in my OS Bogner 2x12 semi-open back. My question...is it ok to use the crimp speaker wire quick disconnectors instead of re-soldering? I think it would be convenient for switching out speakers...

Is there any tone loss worth noting? Thanks in advance...probably a silly question.

That will work fine as long as the guage is right and they fit tight.

What, don't you know how to solder you big ol' wuss? :Spank

Just kidding buddy, I'm no solder master myself. I often start projects and end up bringing them to a tech like a child who needs his parents to help with his science project.

As Popeye would say, it's embarasking.

    While you are testing, yes.

For long term use or gigging, no.

Fastenal makes some female "Faston Clips" that you crimp and then heatshrink down - I use these in the cabinet wiring kits I make. You can get them from your local Fastenal store - they are all over, or from their website.

    Thanks LavaMan,

Do you have or know of a link to the product you are describing? Thanks much.
