I have a 212 cab with two 8 ohm speakers. Is there a way to wire the cab to 8 ohms? I have an amp that has only 8 and 16 ohm outs and I don't know if I can run my cab with it. Thanks for the help!

Can't you wire two 8's in series for 16 ohms? Not to derail, but i've struggled with picturing how exactly to wire speakers for parallel and series. If someone could post a picture of each (real pics, not schematics or drawings) it would be great! Brian

Does it have to be 8 ohm? If you wire them in series (as in the picture) you can use the 16 ohm output of your amp. You also could wire them in parallel (again, see above) and put a 4 ohm resistor between one of the jack leads and the two wires coming to it to make 8 ohm.

2x8 ohm spkrs in parallel (upper drawing) would be 4 ohm load. 2x8 ohms spkrs in series (bottom drawing) would be 16 ohm load.
