I swear that Guitar Player gave a brief mini-review to a product like this in the 90s but it never caught on, and Google is not yeilding to my pleas. Can anyone shed a light?

I think I've seen small single knob fuzzes that replace a volume or tone pot on a guitar, but I don't know if a fuzz circuit could be small enough to fit into a cable plug? That would be sweet though!

I don't think its anything as old as the Jordan. Not even sure it had any controls apart from an on-off switch. It had a goofy-ass name like Razor or Rattlesnake or something I think.

What a nutty idea. Was it maybe one of those small box things that go on between the cable and the input. I think they were color coded.

No, it was a cable with a fuzz in the plug shield and an on/off switch. I remember seeing it, just not the name. Another idea who's time had not yet come.
