Based on their most recent music. Who has the better album?
Let's hear why you think so. I really want to love the new VH, but I just get a better feeling listening to Chickenfoot. Maybe I just need more time with it.And I don't even really like Hangar's voice.

    ......you?

In a battle of the bands all Chickenfoot would have to do is sprinkle crack and speed in the VH dressing room and their implosion would take care of itself. That or just show up and have fun with the audience.

It's a no-brainer for me. VH. I can't remember a single Chickenfoot song. None of them stick in my head. It's generic rock music. If Van Halen hadn't just put out a new record, nobody would even be discussing them, but people have to compare, so Chickenfoot get's their 5 minutes of fame.

I love a good VH bash as much as anyone, but I gotta go with VH...I cant name one chickenfoot tune that stuck with me...

Sammy Hagar needs someone to help keep the cheese out of his lyrics...his VH lyrics were insanely cheesy, but still tolerable...

And...EVH seems to ALWAYS play for the song, at least in the studio...his playing ALWAYS fits the song...Satch imo doesnt do this well...IMO...IMO...he is all over the place and sometimes sounds like the mixed the wrong guitar tracks with the wrong songs LOL

I'd go with Chickenfoot. I'm so disappointed with DLR's performance on the new VH album.

On the strength of the songs alone, VH wins in a landslide.

    VH---not even close...

Chickenfoot III is a whole = less than the sum of the parts record while VH ADKOT is gonna go down as the best rock record of the millennium, imho.
