Can owners of either the Birdfish or Tesla post or direct me to posts of high res photos of these guitars? I've been wanting to see them in more detail and from different angles. For example, I'd like to see the neck heel on the Tesla. Thanks.

The (lack of) neck joint is impeccable.

Crazy just about covers it from my perspective. Definitely not for me but in the right hands with a more open mind I'm sure it's great.

How well do Teuffels play? First time I picked up a Tesla I was lost in it for a good 10 minutes before I realized it was a 7-string...

And you'd think you'd lose upper-fret access with that neck/body joint, but all it does it place your left hand in an ergonomically correct position. I'd buy one tomorrow if I had the dough...and a Birdfish, too.

    Splatt,

Could you elaborate on the difference between a Tesla and a birdfish and why one would chose one over the other, and maybe what the Koll has that the Teuffel don't, and visa versa.

    Hi Splatt -

I own a Teuffel Coco - amazing guitar and workmanship - more amazing that a stratocaster is hidden behind that alien design.

I was wondering what the story was behind its production being ceased, how many were made, etc.

Congrats on your innovations with these guitars!

    thanks.

I'd love to A/B../C this guitar with the Birdfish and Tesla to see if the neck carve is essentially the same - great neck, resonant guitar - the "matte" finish is really something else - as is the resonance. Further info would be good! I dare not take apart this guitar to find the serial number - it is nowhere to be found on the exterior.
    Enjoy the pics, all.
