how would one do this ?
Hm. I would have thought this would be a common request
I think - not sure- that you can link the 2 with a MIDI cable, and this will sync up tap tempo...
Might be in Strymons FAQs
Wow, that’s a great question. Can El Cap do an external tap? If so, I wonder if one external tap can be split to two inputs?
I don’t these pedals are midi capable.
Best tap tempo is to rhythmically punch your drummer's head.
Selah Quartz could handle the duties...not a cheap fix but hey, there you go.
just out of curiosity - why? if you linked em up, wouldn't the trem be ducking exactly as the delays are hitting? or am i misunderstanding this?
This is possible, but you’ll need a mod to your El Cap, and it has to be the V2. External tap mods are relatively cheap. Once it’s modded, you could just get a passive dual tap tempo switch and you’ll be good to go. If you like midi clock, you should look at Disaster Area as they have a couple options.
I had never heard of an external tap tempo mod for an el cap. Looks like exactly what I’m looking for. Can even change the on board tap switch to a favorite switch, nuts.
I'd see if @DisasterArea has any solution for this.
Not sure why Strymon has held out on midi for these 2.
This is what you need for the el cap. It works great!
