My faves would be an old Boss DM2, or one of the original Way Huge Aquapuss's. (Which are pretty much just a true-bypass DM2). The Ibanez/Maxon AD9 or the bigger version (forget its' number) are cool too. Peeps round here give raps to the MXR Carbon Copy also.

I hear a lot of carbon copies just die out of nowhere. dont know though. I've recently been hearing a lot about Way Huge Aquapuss. Might look into that.

I've never heard that, and mine's never had anything even remotely resembling a problem. There is a weird design flaw in (some of?) them that bugs the crap outta me, but there's a way around it. I really like it, they're really cheap, really sturdy - done about a 100 gigs and a few tours with mine, modulation is nice, and they're small.

Best analog sound? Way Huge Aquapuss by a country mile. Between my brother in law and me we've owned maybe 15 DM2s and a bunch of AD9s and the AP just buries them for sweetness and clean (no hiss) sound. I hear good things about the Echoczar but I've never seen one. The EP2 tube Echoplex and the TC 2290 are the only other ones I'd put in the same ballpark (although I've also heard good things about the TES).

Never had a problem with my carbon copy - had it for at least a year now and it gets steady use.

Do you need features galore or something more simple? I have a Thunder Tomate Analog Delay which I love. Great pedal. Just nice warm repeates and nothing fancy.

I suggest Carbon Copy as well, I don't know what these people are doing to theirs, but I bought one as soon as they came out, and it still sounds as great as then.

Carbon Copy is a great analog delay. Never had a problem, never gave me a reason to look elsewhere.

Great sound, good looks, reasonable price.

    Good Luck
