Ok, you guitar gurus, here is a photo of just the inlays of a guitar I bought today.

Who can guess the make, model and possible years of this pretty unique guitar.

One hint, it was made in the US.

The winner gets the admiration of everyone.

    We have a winner!

I got this today from a really nice 72 year old gent who played with Merle Travis and Boots Randolph.

It is in great condish, but it has to be the most enormous guitar I have ever owned. Check it out next to a lp. It feels like it was made for a giant, the neck is wide, and it weighs a ton.

It also has this incredible porno pink plush case.

You got the cooler style whammy bar handle too.. I had a red one just like yours back in the early to mid 90's.. Cool guitar. I think I paid $600 for mine from a pawn shop and sold it a couple of years later for about $1000 and had a hard time getting that for it.

I had one of those back in 1999. Mine was the poo brown color. It was a bear of a guitar. BIG and mine wouldn NEVER stay in tune, I guess I'm not a bigsby guy. I did love the neck and a fretboard though.

Hey, nice Gent! I had a black one brand new from the factory, bought it when I worked there. It was actually quite light, most were extremely heavy. I used it through HiWatts and played hard rock on it-looked real cool slung way down low. I did catch flack from Chet fans occasionally. Wish I still had it, but I sold it and a couple other newer guitars I had to get a 63 ES 335 back in 93. Heck, wish I still had that one too!

Thanks for your comments. I have been driving my wife nuts playing johnny cash with it. It plays like a 335, but the way it looks it just feels like you need to play that country twang.

Hey Rastus, I sent you an email a little while back, as I was interested in knowing what good guitars you were selling. I am in Evansville indiana, and have a little cash to spend.
