Disagree. Video review helps. Silly rules + overprotectiveness of players have ruined NFL officiating.
Partially agree with you. I'm Specifically talking basic calls like TDs where you see one ref's arms tentatively go up after staring at what just happened then they huddle up, etc. They basically don't appear to have confidence in their own abilities.
And yes most of the rule changes suck.
I'm pretty sure we won't all agree.
How exactly has it? Some would suggest they've come to rely on replay, but the initial call remains very important to how challenges are done and replays are judged.
i don't really watch football, but as a soccer fan, video reviews/challenges are one of my biggest fears for the sport.
No. Automatic review of scoring plays and turnovers reduces the chance of bad calls deciding games. They should make every play reviewable, but keep the current limits on number of challenges that coaches can make.
Exactly my point. We are getting more bad calls on the field.
HD replay is a powerful tool.
I bet it is.
Way too many flags...
... too much time wasted on flags and replays
... too many games on TV and unnecessary Thursday Night Games
... too many criminals playing
NFL's finest days are certainly in the past.
I would like to see a change to the "knee down" is where the ball is on these plays where the runner is falling forward. Seems like a majority of goal line or first down plays are reviewed and the ball is placed backwards due to a knee being down.
Am I making sense?
I don't think so at all....I think booth reviews actually help the officials get it right. The game is played fast and they just can't see everything as its 'bang-bang' and done...video replay is great with all the camera coverage...so, I'm in favor of it.
The game was just as fast 30 years ago.
Not really. If the knee is down, then the runner is down and ball is appropriately placed at that spot.
Exactly. Although it's hard to tell exactly what he was driving at, but the ball is placed where the BALL is when the runner is down by contact. That's how it is supposed to work, so again, I'm really not sure what his point is.
I agree- it's ruined the game. Prr
I don't see how getting it right ruins the game.
It's like saying seatbelts ruin cars.
I do agree some rules need tweaking, but that's not a review issue, it's a rules issue.
I'mg glad they are able to look at things and make the right decisions (hopefully).
Anything that hurts the Cowboys, I'm all for.
