A buddy of mine has been recording some loops in Garage Band and trying to import them into Pro Tools 7.0 to record guitar tracks and use some of the plugins for mixing. But has not been able to open the Garage Band files directly. Is there a way to import?

You can't open GB files as a session in PT, but you can definitely bounce individuals GB tracks to disk, then import them into PT.

Pretty sure you can bounce as wav files in GB, which would be better than as mp3.

Convert them to .mp3's from GarageBand and either put them on a thumb drive or disc or even dropbox if you have that, and you can import them that way.

Probably not a good idea for tracks to be mixed.
