I have a PRS McSoapy Standard Rosewood. I know that there are some of these floating around out there.
Can anyone recommend a really good amp to bring out the flavor of the stock p-90s?
    Thanks,

    Marshall JMP/JCM ($900-$1500 used)
    Dr. Z anything ($800-$1200 used)
    Fender Vibrolux SF ($800-$1100 used)
    Savage Glass 30 ($1200-$1500 used)

If you are looking for cheaper (under $800)
Fender Blues Junior w/ Jenson ($400 used)
    Mesa DC3 ($550 used)

I play a McSoapy Trem through a Rivera Rake and love it. The dirty (think Marshall) channel and the clean (think Fender) channels love this guitar and she pushes back. What a killer combo. Try a Rivera if you can find one. Just about any model, but I recommend a Rake (used and no longer made), a Fandango, a Quiana, a Venus, or an M-60. All are killer amps.

What tones are you after? British? American? Unique? What types of music do you play?

I like to play a lot of stuff.
    Gain/distortion-sound-wise:
    Like old STP, some Metallica
    Cleaner tones:
    John Mayer, SRV-ish, bluesey tones

I would recommend an American style amp. Fender non-master volume (single channel) with good pedals for distortion.

If you play mostly with high levels of OD/Distortion, maybe a Mesa/Boogie channel switcher and get your gain from the amp.
