Can you suggest examples of p-90 cleans?

I would think that The Who live at Leeds is a great example wherever the guitar is set clean. Say on "Tattoo".

Plus then you can listen to crazy fantastic fuzz tones on My Generation!!!!!

Greg Sage of "The Wipers" (my favorite band of all time) used an SG Special with P-90s for his entire career.

He owns the rights to *all* of his music, and you can buy it online from him at this site:

http://www.zenorecords.com/

Dig around and eventually you find the ordering page (while you get to listen to some loops by The Wipers).

His rig was a dual P-90 equipped SG with a Bigsby B5 usually going straight in to an Ampeg VT-22.

So he has awesome cleans and really killer natural distortion, too, and most of his songs have combinations that switch between clean and dirty.

man i love the wipers

The Wipers are such a GREAT power trio. I'm gonna have to start a "Wiper" appreciation thread one of these days (after I get all the preliminary research done and all the basic links assembled).

I think I'll listen to "Land of the Lost" when I drive home tonight! :RoCkIn

The only guitar sound louder than Krakatoa was made by Pete Townsend.

Johnny A. A lot of the stuff on his first couple CDs were done with a Gibson ES-295, fat hollowbody with P90s. Killer clean tone.

If you want to cut to the chase... just call Jason Lollar and ask for a P90 with clarity. (or clean ..whatever) I have a set that I would not switch out (haven't for 3 yrs)
