Is it possible to find out the price on the car dealer invoice.?
Or perhaps a dollar amount that is very close to that.?
Trying to price a 2015 Ford Escape.
    Thank You

in most cases, the dealer pays a price lower than the invoice price, it is mitigated by incentives and promotions
but the invoice price is a good place to start

Well that is true to a point. The markup on a new 2015 Ford vehicle is much smaller than in years past. Instead of a big markup and some hold back money, the Factory is now giving dealers a much smaller margin, this vehicle may only have $1000.00 between list and cost. The Dealer now makes profit on the back side of the deal. The amount they get from the Factory is based on may factors, CSI scores, Service retention, Market penetration ..... The car biz aint what it used to be.

Tru Car will show you what people are paying in your area. That is a pretty good guide to where you are going to be price wise. If you have a trade in things get more complex. KBB and NADA are a good resource for those.

If you are a USAA member, their car buying service is based on true car. I got a killer deal in a week without little to no effort. I had three offers in less than a minute. My car had to be obtained from another dealer out of state and I found the invoice from the interdealer sale. I paid less than that.

I found Tru-Car to be very helpful.

I just leased and Audi A3 and Q3 for $100 each above invoice coupled with a very aggressive money factor and 60% residuals for extremely strong deals on each.

In each case Tru-Car was spot on with their numbers.
