SUuuihEEEEET! Hey big mike! Right on about the Scumbacks -- there's not another speaker out there in current production that can hang with them. I've got a pair of 16 ohm 75hz H mags wired up in parallel to 8 ohms, and they're simply amazing with Z's amps. I finally feel like I have a speaker that's truly of the same caliber as some of the other high-end boutique amps/guitars/pickups/pedals out there. I've got a 55hz H mag on it's way to me right now, and I can't wait to try that out in a pair w/ one of the 75hz. I may have to try an M at some point too...

There's no going back once you've sampled the Scumbag Scumback Kool-Aid -- Thanks a lot Jim Jones... err, I mean Jim Seavall! ;)

Man I told you so.........Sorry I couldn't help myself I just needed to say that felt so good ;)

Every time I fire these things up I realize I made the right decision. They just sound right for the Plexi classic rock sound I want.

Sorry to make you guys wait (there was an extra two week delay for a computer snafu on Weber's end, something died at the server after I placed the order, I guess, way back in mid May).

Here's the good news, though. I'm receiving three big shipments in the next 6 days. Judging by the weight of the boxes (and how many there are) I should be able to fill almost all of the back orders by the end of next week. I did order some extras for stock, and to be honest, I'll be surprised if there are any left by the end of next week.

As per my usual motus operendi, I will fill orders as deposits were received. The sooner you placed an order, the sooner yours will ship (seems only fair, right?). I have a number of 1/2 orders here right now (waiting on the other 1/2 to get here), and I'd like to ship them out asap, too, as it's making it tough to walk around my place! Imagine the space about 70 personal speakers, and 50 in boxes takes up, plus about another 50 more showing up in the next week!

You'd be looking to ship them out, too! LOL I'll keep you all updated as they come in.

I wonder what having all of those magnets around does to you :).

It's similar to that movie "Wierd Science". I'm waiting of the virtual Kelly Le Brock to show up so I can go take a shower with her...

*SLAP*

OK, I'm awake again now from my dream...what happened while I was out? ;)

For what it's worth, I aquired a Sucmbag SA-12-75 from another TGP member a few weeks ago. I have a fairly deep appreciation for the speaker. It is unlike any other G12H type speaker I have tried in that it has an inherent smoothness as well as nice note definition. One thing that surprised me was the speaker's clean tone.

Clean Scumbag

They also like to get a little dirty!!

Dirty Scumbag

Sorry for the slighty out of tune guitars.

Incredible tone! :dude
At the beginning of the dirtier clip, I thought: "whaoo! It's sound like dead slash on". Then the solo come into some Velvet Revolver tune :D

What amp/pickup did you use? (just curiosity).
The SA-12-75 sounds really great!

Ced777, The rhythm guitar was a historic '59 335 reissue with WCR crossroads pickups.

The lead track was a historic '57 Les Paul Custom with Darkburst pickups.

The amp is a new take on the 18 watt TMB. It is made by Trinity Amps. I was playing through the new lower gain channel. It has less gain and more clean headroom than the 18 Watt TMB they make. Oh...and yes I was channelling Slash at the time I did the clip. Through the Scumbacks it's pure vintage.

"It's been a long year, since you've been gone... I've been alone here, I've grown old. Fall to pieces, I'm falling... Fell to pieces, and I'm still FALLING!"

phenomenal clips tybone! Great tone, and that tune is one of my favorite tunes/bands that's out there right now.

BTW, Your hitting your Scumbacks w/ the same gasoline I am... a 335 w/ Crossroads into an 18 watt amp (Ghia) -- great combination.

Anyways, great clips - thanks for posting! Time to go wire the 55 hz that showed up last night with the FedEx man into the 2x12 w/ one of the 75 hz that's already in there... Mmmmm... Electric Kool-Aid.
