Like many of you (I would think) Jimi is the the reason I first picked
up a guitar.......just my little version of 1 of his great works........
still kind of rough mix wise and I still need to work on the ending..
as always, thanks to anyone who chooses to listen.....

    one of my favorite tunes.

Great job. Love the Wes-like vocal melody and the layers

That's a very honest statement, C#, and I'd like to comment if you don't mind. I've felt the same way, but I also recognize that not everyone comes directly to "Member Soundclips," so when one does thank those who listen, which I feel is always in good form, he also places the clip in the paths of those who fly directly to "New Posts" (or to any of the other means of browsing TGP), ergo, they are privy to what would have otherwise gone unnoticed. So... in my opinion, it's not that one is self-servingly bumping one's own thread, it's that the creator is thanking the folks who have enjoyed the clip. The bump is unavoidable. That's my thought on the matter and feel that it's entirely okay to say thanks. TGP reaches so many countries: the European Union, Great Britain, France, Norway, Australia, Belgium, Switzerland, India, Thailand, Germany, Croatia, Sweden, Israel, Bosnia-Herzegovina, China, Spain, Russian Federation, South Korea, Mexico, Denmark, Singapore, Hong Kong... Wouldn't it be a shame if some enjoyable clip were buried before its time? or if the chance to make a connection somewhere abroad were missed? (And not necessarily a commercial connection.) Lastly, it will eventually drift into the nether regions of the server, maybe resurfacing once in a blue moon due to a search that calls it back to life. Like George Harrison sang, All things must pass away...

I agree with you completely, I would add my comment was based on my own insecurties, NOT on anyone else bumping their own posts..I should of made that more clear....I also have been slacking about donating some $ to this site and am going to resolve that right after I hit submit on this reply..
This site is an amazing recource. Thanks again dude...point taken......

I am glad you wrote what you did about gratitude. I, too, feel funny thanking people thereby bumping my contribution, when I really just want to thank them, thereby bumping my own, thanking, bumping.... etc. (Actually, I did bump my Zep clip when it reached 500 just because I was floored. Now it's up to 9--something. Awesome. I want it to reach beyond a thousand. Why? Heck... why not!!!)
Anyway.... I see that it's your "close" friends that call you C#. Sorry, man. Shouldn't have taken that liberty. I missed that adjective, and since I'm just clacking away here.... Hey, wait... Sub-D IS C sharp! Clever.

You're good to contribute. Maybe I'll follow your lead. It's high time for me, too.
