Catalinbread DLS internal bright switch

    i just got a DLS and it's pretty cool but it came without any kind of info on how best to use it featurewise. can anyone tell me what the internal bright switch actually does? thanks JMac.

    It changes the value of the treble bleed capacitor on the Gain control... It is really only effective with the gain down at noonish. The way we ship it in V1 mode uses a 100pF cap, which adds some "air" to the upper part of the sound. V2 mode engages a 5nF capacitor, this is a much more aggressive sound early on in the gain rotation as it permits a lot more midrange content to pass through. Hope this helps!!!
