Catalinbread SFT + Twin + Fuzz?

    would the SFT would work well in front of a Fender Twin as an "always on" low gain foundation? and will fuzz pedals, particularly a Black Arts Pharaoh, stack into it well in this context?

    FWIW: the guitar i'd be using would be an SG w/ med output humbuckers tuned to drop C.

    Yes it will. Every CB foundation OD pedal has worked wonderfully in
    this capacity. Right now I am using the RAH... but have used both
    the SFT and the DLS in the past to also do this. You'll love it. :)

    I thought the SFT had plenty of gain on its own. Low gain would be with the drive knob almost off.

    interesting.
    i've read a lot of reviews from people that say it works well as a low gain foundation, but all of the video demo's i've seen have all been pretty high gain. so i've yet to "see" it or hear it.

    anyone else have any insight/thoughts on the low v high gain aspects of the SFT?
