Celestion 12" guitar amp speakers - AlNiCo - I see two, you?

    Here is the Cream 8 ohm frequency response:

    what's the big diff?

    Plus the Blue at 15W. The Gold is 50W and the Cream is 90W. The response graphs are only useful in determining the ballpark of a speaker's character, IME.

    The new alnico creambacks have just been released, I don't think the retailers have them in stock yet so I doubt you'll find many reviews

    Yes, the Cream AlNiCo are rare and hard to find. $300 new at Sweetwater. Yikes.

    I have a Celestion Classic Lead 80 in my SFDR that I dearly love with an additional 12" Classic Lead 80 on the way. I might put them both into my Swart 2X12 cab when I can find a Cream AlNiCo to go into my SFDR.

    I'm curious to know how many playing hours it will take to break in a 90Watt Celestion Cream 8 ohm 12" AlNiCo speaker.

    Any thoughts on the break in for an AlNiCo speaker?
