I want my crowbar and my shovel. I love those things. They're very special to me. If you want them, you're going to have to pry them from my cold, dead hands.

I'm not sure what's worse, stealing a guitar or being so greedy that you try to take it with you when you die.

I met Roger Sadowsky and when I asked him for any Fred Smith stories learned that Sonic was buried with one of Roger's guitars.

I guess it never occurred to him to swap out the original Tele for a look-alike Squier.

musical instruments are meant to be played, not rotting in the ground. but it's the dead guy's guitar, so if he wants it to rot, so be it.

That's pretty specific. How many hats was he buried with?
I'd say that by the time someone's dead, their morale is pretty low.

Sounds like the decedent was just thinking ahead. Was the grave possibly near the side of the highway and a greyhound bus station?

The dumbass should've just put a matching Squier in its place... the other guy would've never noticed! DOH!!!

(now that I read more of this necro thread, I see I wasn't the only one to think of that idea! LOL)

Lemme see... what final selfish act can I perform right after my death??? I know, place my most expensive guitar in the casket and bury it with me.

Although I can certainly understand someone who had his banjo collection in his casket.

People have different beliefs, the Egyptians had rooms full of stuff they were going to need in the after life.

I guess if you're gonna necro a 4-year-old post, this is the one to do it to.

I don't see what the big deal is. I don't let other people play my guitars now....
