My gold Centaur was rounder just like the first Ceriatone enclosure, but yes, the silver enclosures were sharp and polished, closer to the new silver centura.

Yes, Nik told me like a year ago that first Centura enclosures were based on rounder Klons and that he thought that it was cool because they were so unique. This is the first time that I actually see one of those rounder Klons!

I don't know...I only watched about half of your demo and, admittedly through cheap headphones, but I thought the Centura sounded a little clearer than the Tumnus. Similar otherwise. I did find it interesting, though, that the size of the Tumnus kicked the Centura off of your board when you've still got the Diamond delay and a Strymon Flint still on there. Not exactly small pedals themselves...although the Centura IS a big ol honker...:)

Yeah I’m sure it is. I just chose the no horse option. I said nothing about a shiny enclosure. I think that his new supplier is making them this way.

apparently they have chrome and gold coming, but the gold looks nothing like a centaur gold :(

I'm going to have to check in again. 3 months ago Nik told me in an email that my name was only about 100 units away from delivery.

I actually preferred the original, non-shiny version which Nik was able to provide...at least while he still had some left a few weeks ago.

I am in the same camp. I have the original matte finish non horsie, and really dig the look over the newer ones. That said it’s all subjective and am glad folks dig the new ones too.

Funny I thought both size and circuit were going to keep the Centura off my board (had another Klone that I loved with my Fender amps but not so much with my new Maz 18), but I was really surprised with how well the Centura worked with my rig as a clean boost (not for volume but just “more” of my tone). I really love it now as a base tone and found a way to reorg my board to make room. Looks pretty smart I think.

The Centura is massive. An appropriate nickname for it is the Toaster.... the ML Jr and Flint aren't that big. I'm thinking of going down to whatever the next size down of Pedaltrain is below the Jr and could fit the Tumnus, KOT, ML Jr and Flint on there and need nothing else.

Heard on every of these as a clean boost with a KOT on top...yowzers- it kinda tripped me up as a guy with a quality handmade guitar and amp to hear this guy's extremely average (nothing wrong with it at all sorry if I sound snobby) guitar and amp sound pretty amazing with those 2 boxes.
