Manticore has an original sound (iykwim). it can get very raw. I really like it!
How soon did Nik send it out after you guys paid? I paid on the 13th and still no pedal . I'll wait until I get replies to send him an email. I don't want to jump the gun.
It really is amazing how fast Nik ships, about three business days to California after payment.
Right after Chrismas, even!
He shipped it out couple days after the payment. Nik is a cool cat, go email him and ask. Just note that he HATES questions over the facebook page, he even closed down his messenger.
I can confirm this, took about 4 days due to weekend from Malaysia to Los Angeles, would've been faster. Amazing. Even my local EBay purchases took forever to get here.
Yeah I made my payment on a Saturday and hadn't heard anything as of the next Thursday so I emailed him. He quickly replied and apologized for the delay and said he'd have it out first thing Friday. Got the shipping notice Friday afternoon. Pedal was on my doorstep Tuesday.
So yeah it can't hurt to ask him the status. If he has X amount of pedals completed, likely those who ask will get theirs first. Squeaky wheel gets the oil thing.
Got on the list in March. Got my shipping notice for my black Centura today.
Just got my shipping notice coincidentally. It’ll be here on Tuesday.
Oh wow. Just simply awesome. I would not even play that in gigs and just put that in a blanket.
Anyone true bypass theirs? Love this pedal but there are certain other pedals that its buffer does not mesh well with. Think I have it essentially figured out but if anyone has already done it let me know.
the board color enhanced to see the traces
You've got the right idea but it should look more like this:
ok I think I got it
I'm thinking of buying one of these, though I'm wondering how long I'd have to wait for it? Is there a waiting list, or?
Oh yes there is. I got on the list 4/18/17 and I am currently 2-3 weeks away according to Nik. so be prepared to wait
Looks like my hammond box fulldrives...no lie!
hi!! hear this quick test with centura on an fender and a marshall!!
Have no idea what Centura, Game of Klones or even the original this supposedly is a clone of is, but commenting on the enclosure, like everybody else seem to do, true to the original or not, based on the size of electronics actually inside it, it seems to me like waste of space, that, had it been in a smaller and more fitting chassis, could have been used better on a pedal board.
Sounds pretty good though judging from the, in my opinion rather short and, in terms of showing different settings and the pedals tone on it's own, lacking demo.
i feel that ceriatone are trying to recreate the actual aesthetics of the centaur, as well as the sound. there are already tiny pedal klones around, like the wampler tumnus, for those who want the klon sound without the klon size. this pedal is for those who want something that looks like the centaur, pedalboard space be damned.
