I made 4 easy changes that made an incredible difference.
    1. Changed the resistor in front of the lead drive from 150k to 220k (In my amp this leads to a 100k pot. In older ceriatones the pot is probably 250k. It should be changed to 100k)
    2. Changed the suppressor caps on the v2 socket from 270pf to 390pf (I didn't have 330pf)
    3. Clipped the 15pf cap on the master
    4. Clipped the cap/resistor across the effect loop

There're 2 more components I want to replace. i think it's REALLY close. The clean channel is much more sweet now. Less ice-picky and more buttery/fendery.

Yeah Jack...best one yet for ya with this amp IMO. Appreciating your quest for the tone. Is that the Epi LP?

    That does sound better.

Where do you get the parts to do these tweeks? I've had little luck finding them so far.

    Jack,

What are the other tweaks you want to do?

Just dial it in closer to the classic dumble tones. I'm not really very knowledgeable about electronics but I know how to discharge caps and solder parts in and out of amp amp.

The other tweaks I want to do are to change the cathode bias sections to be closer to dumble. They're somewhat different in the overtone. Nik tweaked the circuit a little for what he liked and I'm more interested in opening the tone up and getting rid of some of the upper end brilliance that some perceive as "marshally" and "aggressive".

Is the Ceriatone based on the ODS-101-non-HRM? Nice stuff!

I'm not sure what an ODS-101 is. The ceriatone is based on an '80s overdrive special.

jzuker, will you pass on these changes to Ceriatone so he can get closer?

This is one of a few amps I want to get in the near future and if this gets closer to an Overdrive Special, so much the better, eh ?

The JAZ mod should be offered by Nik! This sounds great. Wish he offered reverb on the Ceriatones. Maybe someday.
