Champ XD - underrated!

I picked up a Champ XD that had been turned into a head at some point from a tgp member as part of a trade. The head was added to the trade to even things up and I wasnt really that interested in but I just moved into apartment and thought it would be a nice apartment amp. My main amps are a maz 18 and Reverend Hellhound. I must say that the Champ has some really excellent tones in it. The first channel smokes and there are a lot of usable sounds on the voicing channel. I prefer it by leaps and bounds to the modeling type amps I have played. I cant comment on the stock combo but as a head into my cheapie egnater cab with a celestion g12h it really sounds great. Anyone else have some love for this thing?

Cool. I have the Vibro Champ XD and want to use it with my egnater cab, but the amp is 4ohms, cab is 16ohms and I've read that that is not a good to do...

I fried 2 VCXD's running a 8 ohm cab

I have one and love it! You can do pretty much anything with it and it can go from bedroom level to gigging! Mic it and see how big it will sound!

Can't beat these amps for around the house. Great classic fender blackface and tweed tones and also pretty convincing Marshall tones etc. add in the nice reverb and effects and you have a complete rig in one small box. These are worth double what they cost new to me. Great for home recording also.
