I have a 77 LP deluxe that had very old Overlend (EMG) Minihumbuckers in it. While they sound real nice, I had a problem just swapping this guitar in and out live with how much the actives pushed the front of pedals and amp. I was looking around for some original Gibson Mini but I just don't have the money to go with them, so I hit the emporium. I had come up with the idea to go with a P90 in the neck and minihumbucker in the bridge, got a great deal on a Gibson P90 and Bill Lawrence XL550 Sounds great, I'll really get a chance to open it up tonight at practice. but here's how she looks now, I actually like the black, makes it stand out...

Nice looking guitar. Is a p90 a direct swap?

love that combo, nice look. Was that guitar refinished? I didn't realize there were natural Deluxes, meaning that blonde, it looks to have no tint at all. I had a Burgundy '76, wish I never got rid of it.

nope, never refinished, there are a few guys on here that have natural from the same period (Norlin). This is a heavy beast too.
