looking for a pedals/boxes that can transform or rip apart an incoming signal and turn it into chaotic blasts of noise and/or a pedal that can self generate such noises and just be affected/"influenced" by incoming signals.

FWIW: looking more for hard edged distorted white noise blasts vs nintendo-bitcrushed types of bloops/bleeps.

    whatcha got?

    Feedback looper.

Fuzzes & delays set on or over the edge of oscillation.

Squarewave settings on Randy’s Revenge. Low clock values on the Mood.

also check out the “Tone Destroyers” thread.

You can set up the Mood so that it accompanies you with dulcet AOL Modem sounds. The only thing missing is the pleasant voice telling you..."You've got mail".

Anything Dwarfcraft. The Fuzz in his Witch Shifter is. . . Well . . . I’m not even sure it is fuzz. It’s just grinding. And it often doesn’t stop when you stop playing.

Also anything “gainy” placed in a delay pedal with an effects loop (like a Rubberneck) can easily start to oscillate with clouds of distortion and swirling noise.

The Meteore can be a Lanois-like soundscaper. Love that pedal!

yeah I would 2nd the tone destroyer thread.
I would recommend the source audio multiwave distortion, it gets some fun white noise going and doesn’t sound like anything else.

I also have a feedback switch on my guitar, and also have a ground kill, which makes pure noise... it’s fun!

I always seem to mention Lastgasp pedals in threads like this, ha. They're just awesome at stuff like this.

The 5 I’d start looking at:

    WMD - Geiger Counter

Death By Audio - Absolute Destruction

Death By Audio - Total Sonic Annihilation 2 + your favorite heavy fuzz or distortion

Recovery Effects - Sound Destruction Device

    Industrialelectric - Incinerator

great suggestions, so far. feel free to keep them comin!

FWIW, right now i have a feedback loop pedal with the following in the loop:
CoPilot Arrow Airwaves pedal into a Danelectro French Toast into a DOD Buzz Box.
the result is small explosions of white noise and fuzz pitched an octave up and 1&2 octaves down, triggered by amplitude of incoming signals. i actually quite like the combo, but trying to find something similar in a single pedal...

Or any ring mod. If you can’t afford a moog, the DOD gonkulator is a fun option.
