I saw him a few years back playing in Bob Dylan's band. That band was incredible, Bob knows how to put together a band.

Also, I believe the Arc Angels have reunited in the past few years, at least for a few shows.

Charlie produces, plays and does work with Dylan and other top Artists.

I knew him way back when he was 13 and was called Little Charlie

We did shows on the same bill during the Arc Angels era and those shows were a blast.

    Incredible writer, singer and player.

Yup, Dylan's band. He has a couple of solo albums since the Arc Angels as well. I like Wishing Tree, but that was from '95 or so.

6 or 7 years ago I kept hearing about an Arc Angels reunion and DVD and possible new album. I guess they did get together on a number of occasions but I don't know about the DVD and I'm pretty sure there's no new studio album. Something about a live disc rings a bell though ...

You can also hear him and DBII back together on a couple of tracks from the Double Trouble CD. Ive got that around here somewhere ...

Seems I remember seeing him play with tift Merritt at sxsw 2-3 years ago. Not sure if that was an ongoing gig or a short term thing.

    What a talent...
He was always my fave thing about Arc Angels and his solo recordings are wonderful, particularly his later solo discs.
Haven't seen him w/ Dylan, but bet he's a great fit.
I understand he's been busy producing some rather high-profile artists and spends plenty of time w/ his son.

He's on one of my favorite records of all time, Dylan's Love and Theft. The interplay between Charlie, Larry Campbell, and Dylan is breathtaking.

Yeah, if you haven't checked out his CD Under a Wishing Tree, it is excellent. It's his best work IMO, even better than the Arc Angels.

This. I wore out two CDs listening to that album. Simply phenomenal writing and guitar tones.

Charlie Sexton is an amazing artist, singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. I'm a huge fan. He's so good at everything he does, it's ridiculous.

"Cruel and Gentle Things", which followed "Under the Wishing Tree", is an even stronger set of songs (imho), compiled from things he's worked on over the years. He also has a duet cd out with Shannon McNally that has some nice moments.
I caught Dylan with Charlie and Larry Campbell on guitars - that was magical!
