Went to a new store on Sat. and played a Charvel San Dimas Wild Card, I am impressed the neck was really nice.. the whole guitar felt good... very comfortable to play. I played it thru a Dime amp.. and I have to say I was impressed with that too for a SS amp... it screamed.

Anyone like the Wild Card or the Dime amps?

I have 2 wildcards. Amazing guitars for the money. Great appointments and the fretwork is really good.
    I have the wildecard 6 and 7
They are getting a lot of play and I have much more expensive pieces wondering what the hell is going on. :)

I have the Wildcard #5....Great playing/Great tone but I am not wild about the direct mount pickups. Has some sustain issues but that only because the pickups are non adjustable therefore creating a need for super low action.

Gonna let it "break in" for the rest of the winter then do another setup, raise the action, shim the pups up and see if that makes it better.

i have not tried any of the Wildcards, but they look killer and get relatively high marks from the folks i know who own them. there are some guys on this forum who have more than one and stand by them.

I have the Orange Wild Card #6. I swapped the JB with a BKP Holy Diver and the neck single with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail, tuned half step down. Sounds unbelievable. Perfect for 80's metal like Ratt. Super comfortable neck and great build quality.

I just wish the dreamsicle one came with a floyd routed for pull-back. The color of the primer one leaves me a little flat.

The primer version looks much better in person. It does not get bad fingerprints like a lot of other primer guitars I have seen. It has the full original (not OEM) Floyd.

I love that the Dreamsicle is a hard tail. It makes it unique.

I drop them both a half step-down . thats why I bought both. Identical guitars but one has the Floyd the other doesn't. The hard tail is nice because I can change the tuning very quickly.

They are fun and I really mean fun guitars.

I've got a couple of Charvels. The JB in this one sounds HUGE.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, the dreamsicle one is awesome as is... I just happen to like the look AND want a floyd at the moment. Maybe I wish it was an option. :)

Man I wish I had that pile o' fun to come home to every day. Congrats!
