    Hey guys,

Thought I'd share with you what I stumbled across today.

This is in Atlanta, GA, but he will ship, and his prices are reasonable enough that it may be worth shipping!

This is the guy who makes chassis for Goodsell Amps.

    American Sheet Metal Company
    Contact: Morgan Allison
    phone: 770-597-2693

    Here's the deal:

$60 setup fee. First order only. No fee for followup orders. (setup fee waived for 25 or more units).

Price quoted for 17" x 7" x 2.5": $40 each, no minimum was mentioned, but we mentioned a number of 5 units (less for 25 or more).

.090 aluminum. Forget which grade, but Goodsell amps look pretty decent to me!

This price includes all punching, etc (setup for that is what the setup fee is for).

The other thing, this guy is super nice and is a player. He says of all the work they do, amp chassis is his favorite because he's a player and gear head himself.

Sounds like the right combination for me.. Feel free to call him!

    Paul

He didn't mention a limit. Sounds like he has CNC stuff. Most of the setup is getting computer files loaded and moved around to the various machines, and then getting the tooling set.

I also have the resources to have chasis laser cut, formed and welded.

......I'd have to have/or make a CAD drawing of the chasis, complete with holes, etc....and get a quote locally....but forming something like that is a piece of cake. So I don't know if I could get close to those prices or not?

I could also make phenolic /turret/ptp/circuit board. :)
