    The title says it all!

Looking for a single-ended EL34 based amp or kit. Must be voiced in the Marshall camp. Think plexi/JCM. Must have good master vol or power scaling.

Budget: under $600. Preferably a fair bit lower.

    Options so far:
Phaez Daisycutter fits the bill perfectly. I've already spoken to Randy and will probably go with this but wanted to see what else there is.

Allen amps do a couple of single ended designs but they seem more Fender voiced.

    Carr Mercury too expensive.

    Anything I've missed?

I was thinking phaez before you mentioned it in your post.

Just get that and call it. The daisy cutter sounds like an amp 3 times its price. You won't be disappointed.

The amazing thing about it is that it can do a fender tone and Marshall tone with a twist of the mids knob. Really amazing sounding and feeling amp

Marshall actually makes one. The SL5. But it might cost more than $600.
If you really want a DIY project, look at the AX84 SEL
Doberman amps used to stock them in kit form. Not sure if they still do.
I've heard only good thing about Phaez amps as well.
