i record home demos on pro tools le. they sound good, but i'd like to play around with ridding some of the sterility by sending them to some sort of tape device to get some analog goodness in.

i want to do it very cheap, since they're just home demos so they won't be heard by many, and i don't mind if it's not top of the line quality---i actually kind of want some grunginess in there.

any thoughts? id like to keep it around/under $100 or so. i was thinking of just getting a used Tascam Porta 02 for $50. thoughts?
