Here's a clip and interview of Lincoln Brewster describing his surprisingly efficient stage rig. If you don't know this guy, he's a monster picker and all around good guy who loves what he gets to do for a living.

LB is truly a blessed man! Gota love that he gets monster tone to die for using a POD! Proves that tone is a combination of hands and ears!

    LB rocks!!!

His guitar work and tone on the "All to You" live album is just perfect!

His strat tone is by far my favorite and the benchmark for me.

I still can't believe the tone he gets running Line 6 stuff. Although, I have never heard him live. I definitely prefer his "live" album over his "studio" stuff and it sounds like "real" tubes on it.

His old website from a while back said he was running some tube amps and they were a Budda Stringmaster and a Fender Bassman. He also mentioned the POD and the Dimarzio pups in his maple necked strats.

    Monster player with killer chops!

I'd love to know what he is using exactly on that "Live" album, it sounds like real amps to me...

Patches he uses for the POD XTL are also on his website, available for download. Try them out if you want more proof that "tone is in the hands"!

You know, I always knock on the POD's, but everytime I hear him play through it I think about getting one. I have some gear money laying around right now, maybe I should just dive into one and see if I can get some good sounds with it without clearing out any of my other gear.

I'm on the same page as him wanting it just for an amp sim. I think it's time to pick one up and see if I can make it work for me.

We just went to IEMs and I'm using a Pod XT with my pedalboard for now. So far, I'm really liking this. I'm not using any of the onboard effects, other than some post compression and a little delay. It sounds much better than the DRRI that I can't crank up enough (due to the room).

I love LB, but I have to admit every time I hear his name I think it's a new car... introducing the Lincoln Brewster Towncar.

Whenever I hear the name Harrison Ford, I think of a car dealership. "Come on down I-45 and the Grand Park Expressway and save some cashola at Harrison Ford Auto!" or something like that.
