I just recorded this song for a band called The Weatherlight.

It's just the instrumental, because they haven't finished the vocals yet. I really like this recording, with the exception of a couple levels. I'll fix that in the final mix.

For this recording I used a Presonus Firepod, with some decent mics.

Cool track. I'd recommend A/Bing it with other recordings in this genre. At first listen, the distorted guitars sound kind of distant. The drums also dominate the mix, but sound really 'scooped' to my ears.

The amp was a 5150 with a JCM 800 cab, and he used a Gibson Firebird studio.
