Once in a while I post here, bugging you guys to check myspace.
Well, it's been a while, and I've added a couple tunes in the last month or so.

The new tunes are Dangerous Dreams and What You Deserve.
Have a listen, if you dig, say hi and add me.

Thanks!

Love the lyrics in what you deserve

the parts flow into each other and take you on a trip

I like the tone except for the low register power chord stuff

it seems kind of mid rangy and not tight enough on the low end

Wow, that's great feedback, man, thanks! That's exactly the kind of response I was hoping for. Of course, the fact that it's pretty prositive and constructive is pretty sweet too :)

I agree, I'm not in love with any of the tones on it. For heavier stuff, I should really mic my amp instead of using Gearbox.

Cool, Dan - I'll check more of your stuff out

I check people's clips when I am doing my stretching exercises or taking a break

Dangerous Dreams

Good tune, Good Pre-chorus, and chorus

Nice solo breaks, I like the clean part coming in on the 2nd verse, however, I think it should be done with the volume rolled back on a dirty setting, because it seems that there is too radical jump into the saturated chorus

The most obvious thing missing from Dangerous Dreams is dynamic builds from the verse to the pre-chorus to the chorus and then back down

The lack of dynamics is what causes the bridge to not really jump out

I am wondering whether or not you should come out of the 2nd chorus into the bridge's chord changes more broken down w/o the vocals at first maybe w/palm muted guitar and drums only then building into the louder dynamic bridge, then launching into the solo.

This could make the bridge jump out more

I am not one to critique mixing because I have no speaker system, just the laptop - but the mix doesn't sound cohesive - almost like each instrument is all over the place.

The guitar sounds a bit on the oversaturated side - doesn't seem to blend with the keyboard

I like that tune Everything

Good tribute to the progressive arena

Wow, man, thanks so much. It's cool to see someone who actually takes the time to listen to stuff. And the fact that your opinion is totally unbiased.

I really appreciate it a lot.

That'sone of my Soloway Swans. It's the one we affectionately dubbed the "Swancaster".

It's not the only guitar I use, but it is prominently featured.

Thanks for your compliments, I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and sharing your opinion.

Yea it sounds great. The vocals are not really my speed but the playing is great.
