Some of you may have seen my thread asking about chicken head knobs. Well, I received a set for my Germino today. And, they were a thank you gift! I'm not at liberty to disclose the generous person's identity, but if he sees this thread and gives me the okay, then I will.

Anyway, I went with cream. They just came in so I don't have on yet, but will later tonight. And yes, I know some of you will likely scream blasphemy, but I dig 'em and I think it'll be easier to see the settings. And yes, I change settings frequently.

I've thought about putting them on JCM800.

They are much easier to see and adjust on the fly. I really appreciated this on my old VHT power amps, 2150 and Classic. I miss this rig.

Try to get the ones with the brass set screws, the other kind are made from really weak metal and strip out pretty quickly.

I already have them, and they do have the brass set screws.

I salvage every chicken head knob I can find and I have quite a few in my stash. Mostly black but a few white ones. They'll come in handy some day.

That's good for you, because chicken head knobs have the best tone.

I use the whole chicken, not just the head.

Hammett has a house in Hawaii and I cleaned his carpets.

I like clean carpets! (And money in the bank)

Wait...that wasn't too off topic was it...?

Well you started it with number knobs.....:rotflmao

You have knobs with numbers on them? What did you do, put guitar knobs on your amp? :p
