What do you think. I was trying an OD recently and put it after the chorus and thought the chorus sounded better ...

    Zakk places it before distortion.
Standard issue calls for it after.

If I'm using it WITH an OD/dist., I prefer it before.
But for clean chorusing, if I can't run it in stereo, I don't even see the bother of using one.
Stereo chorus to me is where the chorus effect really lives.
So to run stereo it usually will be near end of chain.

So with OD, before for me.
Clean, near end and stereo please.

I use chorus pretty subtle, what I noticed having it before the OD was that it seemed to come through the mix more effectively....

If you got a loop....put it there. Dirt will intensify the chorus and its mid range when in series with it.

I like chorus, flanging and phasing all before distortion. It really just depends on what you prefer - modulation after distortion is too much for me, I like a more subtle effect when mixed with distortion.

I usually like it before dirt. Then again I use chorus for more of a Leslie type tone. To me, chorus before dirt retains more of the dirt character and chorus after dirt puts the chorus sheen on top of the dirt. on my current board the chorus is after my dirt pedals, but when they are on my amp is breaking up, so the chorus is still before some of the dirt.

    Both are fine.

It depends on whether or not you want distorted chorus tones or not.
