Chris Poland's tone

    Not sure this is the right forum or not, but I haven't seen much discussion about Chris Poland's (OHM, Damn The Machine, Megadeth) guitar tone.

    Anyone a fan of him and his tone? Anyone have thoughts how to to get a similar tone? I imagine a lot of his tone is in his fingers and ridiculous technique.

    His recent work with OHM is crazy good instrumental fusion.

    his solo record is awesome, super cool instrumental record, really unique especially for the time it came out, there is a cool clip on youtube of him playing througha THD amp with a les paul other than that not sure what he uses these days

    I believe he uses a Bogner Fish preamp.

    I see him with a Yamaha SBG2000 semi-hollow quite frequently, and I'm pretty sure Lex is right on with the Fish. As far as his Megdeth days go, he probably played any and everything, though I think they used Jacksons back then.
