What classic songs have a great tremolo sound?
The intro to "Out In The Street" by the Who, springs to mind.
The first one that came to mind, "Born on a Bayou" CCR
I dunno if you'd personally refer to The Pixies as classic, but Wave of Mutilation has some nice use of Trem/Vib.
My favorite tune with tremolo is "Feelin' Bad Blues" by Ry Cooder, from the Crossroads soundtrack.
there is a smith's song (how soon is now , iirc) that has a crazy, pulsing trem and maybe some delay too by johnny marr. lips like sugar by echo and the bunnymen has some nice tremolo too.
Duh, Crimson & Clover
Vibrato, not tremolo, but danged good stuff.
There is some classy tremolo stuff on the album "bringing down the horse" by the Wallflowers. T Bone knows tone.
Tremelo and Trem 2 by Mission of Burma are my faves.
The Smiths "How soon is now" (awesome song, awesome guitar!)
This thread is growing quickly Thanks guys! keep it coming.
Check out the Radiohead record 'The Bends' -there's trem all over the place.
David Lynch's films...Twin Peaks song...
Money - Pink Floyd
+1 ... Pure classic tremolo
Voivod "tribal convictions" (sorry, but i was a metal kid in the 80's)
John Hiatts "Feels like Rain" has, to me, a classic guitar tremolo sound. Also, its an awesome song, which helps enormously.
