Have to give a shout out to Peter Clinch for the EP-PRE.
I have tube amps that I use but I really wanted this for use with my Roland JC 120.I haven't found a setting with either type of amps that is not usable. Its subtle but it is a huge signal improvement.
Its one of those always on pedals.
    Jim.

I couldn't agree more about the EP-PRE. There was a recent thread about best customer service experiences in which I posted that without a doubt, Peter is one of the most genuine and supportive people that one could imagine.

I'm agreeing more, since you couldn't.:D
Peter's a great guy, and the EP-PRE is the always on pedal in my chain.
My tone wouldn't be the same without it.
Works great right before the delay.

I use an EP-2 as my pre amp. But if I used a pedal, I'd use the EP-Pre. Peter knows his stuff. (Obvs different than an EP-2, but I think it's the best EP-3 preamp pedal.)

Peter - what are the chances you're going to make a tube driven pedal based on an early EP-2 circuit??? I'm in.

Thanks guys, for all the kind words.

I've often thought about it, and our old Blue Classic enclosure would house it perfectly, but I have a number of other pedals in development, and the EP-2 pre is at the end of a long list. Unfortunately, the major part of our business involves service and repair of industrial electronics, and there is not always a lot of time left for pedals. It's Saturday night here, and I've spent most of the day assembling pedal PCBs, because we ran out of EP-PRE stock yesterday.

    Peter.

Long time EP-PRE user here. It's a very useful pedal. Post drive, right before delay. :aok

Be sure to try your EP-PRE powered with 12v. I owned one a few years ago and, with my guitars/amp, it sounded even better with a little extra juice.

I agree, 12v is where it's at for the EP-Pre.

Yes Mark, it was supposed to be a one-off batch of 50 pedals, and I didn't bother to make a page for it on our website, however we continue to receive requests, so we are still making them.

I'd better get into setting up that web page:red

My sincere thanks to Brian (gillibi) for his advice and encouragement. He also looks after the ClinchFX Facebook page.

Thanks again to all who have posted in this thread.

    Peter.
