Clip-on tuner?

I'm looking for a small clip on tuner. Something decent that I could keep with my guitar tools or keep off stage at a show. It doesn't need to be a perfect tuner, just good enough to get me close.

Are those clip on ones any good? Does anyone have any experience?

I just got a Snark too. From Amazon for 10 bucks. Love it. I don't know that I would call it "small". It is bigger than the Crafter I have but much better in almost every respect. And at 1/3rd the price.

My ONLY gripe with the Snark is the way they break where the arm joins the body. Otherwise their great and a heck of a deal.

Has anyone compared the new/little Planet Waves to the Snark. The size of the PW is sure appealing.

Snark. Works great. Works for electric too. (did someone already say that?) Compared it to my TU-2, and it tunes fine. I have a Strobostomp for intonation stuff, but for day-day tuning, the Snark is great.

My $.02

I have the Planet Waves one too and am really impressed with it. I kind of bought it just to try it out--and I won't be getting rid of my Turbo Tuner--but it is much better than I had expected. It tunes precisely, is very small, and fits snugly on all of my guitars.

I have also had great luck with my Snark I got for about $12 off of Amazon. I still use my Turbo Tuner on my board, but for acoustics or jams where I do have my rig, the Snark is perfect.
