I've been through a few of these devices and would be very interested in what's good and what's crap out there now.
I've been hearing some good things about Snark now.

I use the Snark SN-8 on my acoustic
PT 10 mini on my electrics, plus these work great on LOUD stages

I first purchased a Snark SN-5. It looked great, tuned great but wouldn't auto-shut off, nor could I power it off with the single button on the front. It'd drain a battery in a day. I'm now using a Planet Waves two button version and it's working and lasting great.

the planet waves NS microtuner is my favorite - have them on all my guitars. I'm really impressed with it.

I love my Snark. So much that I bought one for each of my kids and a second one for me too!

I have a Snark and a Korg Pitchclip. The Snark is easier to use, but I think the Pitchclip is faster and more accurate. However, the Korg doesn't have the ability to recalibrate. Can't have everything, I guess.

Planet Waves Micro Tuner here too. Very impressed. I also use a Peterson stroboclip, but that's a lot pricier. Snark does not hold a candle to the either.
