I love this womans voice. She's always been my favorite backing vocalist, and I was recently checking out her extensive classic rock discography (which is impressive by any standard). She, Shirley and Venetta made one hell of a trio.

She has multiple credits across the rock royalty spectrum over decades. Just a few mentions: The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joe Cocker, Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, CSN, Bob Seger, but my favorite work of hers was with Steely Dan on all of their albums.

This song Kings is a great example of how she immediately improves a vocal part with her lush tone and sexy inflections - her and Donald Fagans voices go together like peanut butter & jelly.

(jump to :39 for Clydie's first appearance)

And this thread would be worthless without a pic:

She certainly sang on a lot of my favorite stuff back in the day. I've often wondered why she never had a solo career, she had the vocal chops and was very easy to look at.
