Posted on their FB page....announcement coming 11-14-17-
It will be awesome, of course.
Jeez, I thought you guys might be interested or have something to say, seeing how popular Collings guitars are.
Am I seeing things or does that P90 look wider than a normal P90?
This'll be a beauty, can't wait to see more.
Should be released today!
That's what I'm seeing too.
Here it is!
There is a very cool Guthrie Trapp 2 minute video but he only plays the neck pickup. Sounds great so far, but would like to hear all the pickup positions.
Looking forward to seeing the Sherwood green metallic for this model; Just might push me over the edge..
There are three clips actually. I think he covers all positions.
I found them all on the Collings site. The email I received from them only had one and I checked on Youtube and there was only one. Sounds great in all 3 positions.
Ahh, that's why. Isn't it wonderful?
Oh man... the aged black. Put a bigsby on that, aye yi yi...
Damn that's one fine sounding guitar! I could live on the neck pickup.
It does say they're custom covers so looks like neither of us are going mad, which is always nice to know!
Oh man... That blonde... Been looking at vintage but I like this.
what would be the RRP on this model?
It's around $5k IIRC.
They mill their own P90 covers out of a solid block, so the bottom has the curve/arch of the top milled in, and the ears are thick and correct height, not needing the dog ear shims.
This guitar looks ridiculously nice. I've got an original '59 dot neck es-330 which had been my dream guitar for years, if I didn't I'd be all over this Collings.
Spoke with Collings today. MSRP is $5200 or $5700 for the aged version. Has a Lollar low wind in the neck and high wind in the bridge. They hope to make Throbaks an option in the future but not at this time due to the propriety dogear covers for the model.
