    Haven't played it, but I've never played a Collings that didn't impress me.

    Much lower on the scale in their electric line, but I love my Collings 290, which is essentially their version of an LP Special. The fit and finish are flawless and the sound still inspires me every time I pick it up.

    I am hearing good things about them. Heard the had great rock tones when driven, then when 'jazzed' up sound equally amazing. I kmissed the opportunity to play one at Fat sound. Bummed.

    Agreed very impressive.

    My favorite configuration to date is the one show in their gallery in Root Beer.

    The 290 looks exceptional, but I'd prefer it with full neck and body binding.
