    Hello,
I am curious to see if anyone has tried one yet.
(Where Collings at NAMM this time?)
So far I haven't had the chance(only played the 1-35)...
I noticed several of them are sold, so someone out there must have one!
    Any information is greatly appreciated.

I played both models at NAMM - very nice guitars - gorgeous, IMHO, but a bit too pricey @ $5,500 - $6,000+ depending on the options.

    I didn't try the I-35, so I can't compare.

I own an I-35 and I tried the SoCo at the NAMM show. While the show is a terrible place to try anything because it is so loud, the SoCo is going have more lown end and fuller sound than the I35 because of the additional mass on the bass side of the neck. In my conversation with Aaron at Collings he confirmed this observation. Hope this helps, personally you can't go wrong with either one IMO.

    Hey,
    that really helps!
I suspected that actually...So the Soco might be a jazzy 1-35.
As much as I loved the 1-35, I think I might prefer the Soco.

I played the bottom one & it's as good as it looks. If I was rich, I'd buy that one right now! :D
