People are sick of seeing "NGD" I gather so I won't mention it...

It's been three months waiting but my new I-35 LC DL has arrived at the dealer, Maple St. Guitars, in Atlanta and it will ship tomorrow. The only customization is the the strap button at the heel instead of the horn.

Took the stock Lollars. Stellar sound, I can't hear the Throbaks being better for my taste.

Will post pics when I get it.

By the way, Collings said 3-months and it is to the day. Service on a par with the quality of their instruments.

Maple St, is also a great dealer. They've won my trust and respect, and they treat me ever so well.

    Collings Spring.

I have an I-35 LC and it is an inspirational instrument, along with my PRS HBII.

Interesting that you chose the strap button on the neck heel. One of the main reasons I like the I-35 is that it is comfortable to play standing up as a result of the strap on the horn. I hold the guitar pretty high up on my chest, so when strap buttons are on the heel, I have to reach out way further, and my shoulder is usually sore the next day.

What is the 'DL' mean, btw?

    Here she is...

I thought I had good guitars but this sweetheart takes the art to a new level. As an instrument I can't think it could be better crafted -- I found no flaw. The neck is simply perfect. Better than the neck of my Giffin babies.

Now the tone is where I run out of adjectives. It helps that Lindsay of Maple Guitars, Atlanta, has made a stellar job setting it up. It arrived by UPS, in tune!. And I do have blisters on my fingers.

Clarity, articulation, sustain, and the quality of its voice, timbre is so seducing that a bigger ES335 (I used to like) can't even come close. Why isn't Larry Carlton playing one of these, I don't understand. I must have gotten really lucky buying this sight unseen, because it sounds better than the ones I've tried in the shop. I wasn't too worried since my previous two Collings, a 290 and a 360 bought online are also keepers, but this one is exactly like Voodoochili12 described his, "inspirational instrument."

Sorry to ooze, but this NGD is not like others...

Not much difference with the I-35LC. Just upgraded knob, rings, binding.

    Beautiful!
I have an I35lc that I absolutely love. I can't even imagine a nicer electric guitar. Well maybe a deluxe?

I really like the deluxe additions on the I-35 LC, esp. the bound neck. Very nice instrument. Enjoy!

Looks great! I shipped off my I-35 on Monday, and I'm already regretting it.
