I'm looking at as many two el84 combos with reverb and master volume as I can find. So far I know of Goodsell, Savage Rohr, Maz Jr.

    Can anyone suggest others?

    Thanks much

I have a Traynor YGM-3 that has all that (except a Master), plus one of the best tremolos I have heard. You can find them for under $400 on eBay. Mine is a 1975. Definitely one of the best made amps I have ever seen.

Mesa Blue Angels can run 2 el84 (and/or 2 6v6) and the Mesa Maverick is el84 (though I forget if they are 2 or 4 bottles). There are also some Bad Cats and, while not combos, there is a /13 or two I believe that use el84s.

Aiken Invader 18 watt version. Randall isn't making them anymore, but used come up regularly. I would try to get one soon because once they find the right players they will not be very available.

I play a Savage Rohr 15 2X12 combo. Savage amps aren't discussed much on TGP, but are quite exceptional. They are eminently practical gigging amps.

They are pricey and I don't think there are a lot of dealers. But Savage's products and service are great.

I've posted some detailed reports and experiences on this forum. Check out my profile and you can track them down.

Have fun with your tone quest.

The Blue Angel can't run two EL84s - it's a 4-EL84 cathode-biased output section and if you pull two tubes you'll fry the others since they won't be biased properly. The Maverick is 4-tube too.

Mesa's 2-EL84 amps with reverb and MV are:

    Studio 22
    Subway Reverb Rocket
    DC-2
    F-30

Such a list would not be complete without the Bogner Metropolis.

Vox? Never heard of that company. They make amps that use EL84?

The Traynor YCV20 fits the description.

Two amps not mentioned so far that are on opposite ends of the price spictrum are the Peavey Classic 30 and the Cornford Hurricane. Both have the features you're looking for.

I don't know if reverb is offered with CR, but yeah, it's my favorite gigging amp right now! :dude

+1 on the Cornford Hurricane. I have one, it's an amazing little 1x12 amp. I may sell it tho since I have another incoming amp. PM me if interested.
