Comedy Central must be hurting for material.

Seacrest's involvement is the most unfortunate aspect of this.

I always thought a roast was done after a long career and retirement was in the near future. I guess it's not like that.

I don't know, some of their roasts have been hilarious. I've watched the Pam Anderson one about 5 times on youtube, it's awesome from start to finish. I'm not sure I really want to watch Justin Beiber, though. It helps to kind of like the person being roasted.

Yeah but, on the one I saw she was wearing a black see-through top. So that's O.K. :beer

    Huh?

I enjoy The Daily Show, Colbert Report (enjoyed*), South Park, Workaholics, Broad City, and Amy Schumer. There's probably others if I thought about it long enough. Those shows certainly aren't for everyone though. Then again, I'd rather go blind, deaf, and dumb than sit through most of the programming on network stations, ESPN, the Food Network, and pretty much everything else outside of AMC, HBO, and Showtime. A Bieber roast is no more offensive to me than another season of American Idol, a network live production of a musical, or another crime investigation series.

I can't say this would've been my first choice for a roast though.

I'll bet there's one thing Comedy Central isn't hurting for, volunteers to be on the show. :D

Now's when I really miss Joan Rivers.

Norm McDonald's roast of Bob Saget was priceless.

Could be great, maybe Justin has a sense of humor about himself and could probably use a little good will as he attempts to make a transition in his career. There are plenty of jokes to be made about him, could be a funny show.

Most of the roasts have been hilarious. The Roseann roast and the Franco roasts definitely weren't very inspired but the Charlie Sheen was outstanding. Of course with him, there almost didn't have to be written. It wrote itself or as Jeff Ross said, 'How do you roast a meltdown?'

As great as he was at the roasts I wish his legacy was more about his actual standup. I was fortunate enough to get to see him do an hour set in a small room, just fantastic.

I don't have cable anymore so the only CC shows I get to see are what's up on Hulu+. I'll probably pass on buying the Bieber roast on iTunes but I will be buying Kyle Kinane's and Matt Braunger's new hour specials when they come out in the next few weeks.

    Also, Drunk History is great!

I usually enjoy these roasts a lot. And speaking of roasts, has anyone seen any pics of Lisa Lampanelli lately? She's lost 106 pounds, but I bet she's still funny!

They lost me when they decided to roast James Franco. I had to look up his name.

they have a slew of C-D grade "comedians" whose only gig is to be on these "Roasts."
None of them are particularly funny, they all thrive on the low grade, crude and insulting humor.
I do like when Gilbert Godfried is on. His roast of Joan Rivers was pretty f'n awesome.

I love the old Dean Martin Roasts, they would drink and smoke and the jokes seemed mostly off the cuff.

Those guys used writers too and had the networks allowed it at the time probably would have been just as crude.

There is definitely some drinking going on at these comedy central roasts. Check out the roast of David Hasslehoff, some of those folks are wasted.
